This four story Victorian home was purchased by a neighbor and renovated before sale. This was a unique challenge, as we did not know who the client would be. We added a new garage and habitable space on the previously unfinished Ground Floor. We also built a new addition to the lower rear, while cutting back the some of the upper-most floor to preserve the neigbbor's view of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay.

This three story shingle style home had been recently updated and modernized, save the Kitchen. The client wanted to open the Kitchen to the Dining Room and update the look of both. A challenging project in a small space, we added a window to bring in more natural light, introduced a seating area, gained more countertop work space, as well as cabinet storage, and managed to upgrade to larger appliances.

A regular client, we worked here and there on the main house of the property before being asked to design and build a small studio-like guest home on the property. Tucked neatly on the well landscaped site, it is hidden from view; A Mid Century-Modern retreat shaded by lush magnolia trees. This project was a fabulous collaboration with an incredible client, allowing us to see our full design vision all the way through, right down to the furniture and fabrics.

This particular client puchased this 8,000 square foot home for the property. Not into the tudor style at all, they wanted to bring as much of a clean, modern touch as the home would allow. We restored the street facing side of the house, made the Kitchen at the hingepoint of the home a bit more transitional, before stepping down into a much cleaner and more modern Family Room and back of house. We angled the ceiling up and installed a massive window wall to open this room up to the property and bring the outdoors in.

The client wanted an updated Kitchen, with room for seating. We turned the existing Dining Room into a Family Room and opened it to the Kitchen so the children can play and still be seen. We added a Butler's Pantry as well. On the lower level, we worked within the footprint of a wine cellar to turn the dark and cold space into a bright and cheery Sun Room. We also did a full remodel of the Master Bath and addtional cosmetic work throughout the home.

This 12,000 sq ft home was built in 1911, and remodeled by Joseph Esherick in 1955. It hasn't been touched since. The client, a fan of Esherick and his work, needed to bring the mechanical and electrical systems into the modern day, while improving upon any areas that were missed in the 1955 project. All kitchens and baths needed to be updated as well as most of the common areas. A new central core with an open stair and skylight above will help to spread more light throughout.

This 1902 Victorian has been through many renovations over the years. With little remaining of the original detail, and a desire to update the exterior to match the recent remodel inside, the client approached us to work with a landscape architect and update the street presence of their home. A new staircase proved challenging per the new codes and the proximity to the adjacent wall, but all came together in the end with a series of softer surfaces and planting beds.

The client had lived in this home for years. When the adjacent corner lot went on the market, they jumped at the chance to purchase. Almost doubling their acreage, we demolished everything on the new property and added a new Family Room onto the existing home that opened to a new Patio and Exterior Kitchen, a new Dining Pavilion, Lawn, Pool, Pool House, and Garage with Guest Quarters above.

This classic Victorian was built in 1900 and needed quite a bit of work. We popped this two story home up on cribs, removed the original brick foundation, and excavated to gain a full, conditioned lower floor and complete seismic upgrade. We enclosed a side porch to make a larger Kitchen and added a new deck off of the Master Bedroom. The owners told us to "have fun with it", and we did; from a hidden Powder Room behind a secret sliding bookcase to a Cthulu inspired sculpture, wrapping it's way around the lower staircase, slithering down the walls and into the Music Studio.
